Pressure Cleaning

Pressure cleaning delivers instant results — a brighter, cleaner roof straight away.
Our experienced team takes care to avoid damage to pointing, tiles, or the roof cavity.
However, even with care, older or weathered tiles can crack or break during cleaning. Age, brittleness, and hidden defects under dirt or lichen can all contribute.

We recommend keeping a few spare tiles on hand before cleaning begins.
This allows for immediate replacement of any breakages, helping maintain your roof’s integrity and watertight seal.

While pressure cleaning removes visible grime, it doesn’t eliminate microscopic algae or mould spores — meaning regrowth can still occur over time.

Roof Treatment After Cleaning

For longer-lasting results, we can apply a biocide treatment following pressure cleaning.
This kills off any remaining lichen and algae at the root, helping prevent regrowth and keeping your roof cleaner for longer.

Roof Treatment Only

For older or porous roofs, such as concrete tiles, a treatment-only option is often a good and safe choice.
It works deep into the surface to kill growths before they’re removed by rains, reducing time on the roof and the chance of tile breakage.

Think of it like spraying a weed — once it’s dead, it can’t come back, and just withers away.

After Treatment

Once the biocide is applied, moss, algae, and lichen die within a week or two and naturally wash away over the next few months.
Results depend on the weather, but once dead, growths can’t spread or regrow.

Safe and Eco-Friendly

Our biocide treatment is gentle on gardens and surfaces compared with old-style sodium-based cleaners.
It’s slow-acting but effective, and when applied correctly, it won’t harm plants or surrounding vegetation.

Important Notes

Treatment isn’t applied if rain is forecast within 12 hours.
If you collect rainwater, we’ll divert runoff during cleaning to protect your tank water.
A 2-year regrowth guarantee is included with every treatment.
Keep spare roof tiles available — even the most careful clean can reveal or cause minor breakages, especially on older roofs.
